This marriage cert gave me the following information :

• John was full age (21) when he married, so his birth had to be before 1888, in fact it was 1876, so he was actually 33.
• Teresa was also full age which meant she had to have been born before 1888. This turned out to be 1886, but I didn't have to look for it as there was a cert in the family which finally turned up with my long lost 2nd cousing..
• She lived in St. James's Avenue, which is just at the back of John's house.
• Her father was a carpenter (the birth cert also showed that she was from Drogheda).
• Witnesses were Mr and Mrs Fleming, Nicholas P (who was a buddy of John's) and John's sister. I'm not clear why there were no Fitzsimons among the witnesses.
