It's always sad when an occasion comes to an end and the stuff has to be packed away until next year. It is probably also the moment to congratulate all those who were involved in organising the Festival or who supported it with financial backing, by giving their time, or by just coming along and making the day what it was.

The Committee have done a great job, building on last year's success, tweaking bits here and there, and maintaining a sustained effort over the year, and particularly in the last few weeks run up to the Festival.

The weather forecast must have caused many anxious days and nights and it was a near miracle the day turned out as it did. A reminder that while the Met may be right most of the time, that's not the same as always, and weather has a way of localising despite the general trend.

Time to pack up the gear.
